Let's start from the beginning

Despite the fact that we had been trying to get pregnant, I was still in disbelief when the 1st pregnancy test was positive . . . so I took 2 more! We were so excited! Then I was nervous, scared, happy, then back to excited, and that was just within the first 5 minutes! :)

I had some bleeding at 5 weeks. We went in for an ultrasound. I don't even remember how I felt when the doctor told us that there were two sacs - twins! I do remember how Bill reacted, he said, "I feel like I just won the lottery!" I said, "You better win the lottery!"

The doctor warned us that it was very early, and there would be a chance of us having 0, 1, or 2 babies. We would have to wait until my next appointment 2 1/2 weeks later to really know for sure. Within the next 2 1/2 weeks I experienced more bleeding. At the next ultrasound on Christmas Eve, we saw one healthy baby on the screen. It was a happy and sad moment. Although the thought of twins was overwhelming, I had started to get used to the idea. Of course the thought that a possible baby was now gone was saddening, however, we were so thrilled to see that we had not lost both babies.
